About the Job

The System Integration Engineer will support the C2BMC program and will be responsible for integrating C2BMC software into the test suites and operating and troubleshooting systems during test events and integration activities.

Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever SFB)

Position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC, but sometimes multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g., EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required. Ability to travel is a requirement.

The Work You’ll Do

  • The System Integration Engineer requires at least Administrator-level knowledge, but does not conduct normal Administrator job functions
  • Integrate C2BMC software into the C2BMC test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers; support System Test events by operating C2BMC suites
  • Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events and integration activities
  • Work with external personnel to resolve test lab issues; work with C2BMC Operations and Sustainment as well as Level-II support personnel to resolve installation and processing issues
  • Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files; perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; troubleshoot both test and operational issues; document test results and prepare test status documentation
  • Read test plan documents and procedures; create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
  • Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities
  • Participate in integration C2BMC tests with external elements and sensors; review and provide feedback of system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary
  • Attend meetings with other C2BMC FAs, customers, etc.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years’ system/network administration experience, or equivalent
  • Active Secret clearance required to start, Top-Secret clearance desired
  • IAT Level 2 Certification (Security+ or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of administration in at least one of these three domains: Networking, Linux, and/or Windows
  • The desire to conduct complex troubleshooting by analyzing proprietary application logs, firewall policies, and interface documentation

Preferred 

  • Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks is a plus
  • Prior integration and test experience within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program is a plus
  • Experience with Agile Methods, and Capability and Feature definition is a plus
  • Ideal applicant should have either knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
  • Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis), and off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages a plus
  • Experience with the integration of system components within an integrated test environment is desired
  • Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment is desired
  • High proficiency with Networking (Junos a plus), VMware, virtual servers, Linux, including shell scripting is desired
  • Detailed knowledge of Windows and Linux environments; working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution is desired

 

Salary Range: $60,000-$97,000
