Tamea Grant joins SecureStrux with over 30 years of experience in the information technology and cybersecurity field; she has held positions in operations, maintenance, supply, and development assisting the war fighter. Throughout her career, Tamea has provided support to Department of Defense (DoD) Aviation, Medical, Maritime, Army, Marines, and reserve components, which coupled with her 20 years of U.S. Navy experience gives her a full spectrum of the information technology and security experience.
Ms. Grant provides Information System Security Management (ISSM) support to SecureStrux’s diverse customers in obtaining and maintaining operational authority, through compliance with the RMF and DISA STIGs.
While on active duty in the U.S. Navy, Ms. Grant was instrumental in the construction of DISA, NMCI, common criteria, and initiating/planning/mitigating Y2K efforts. In addition, Ms. Grant brings many years of assistance in developing, reviewing, constructing, and revising national security policies and practices. Ms. Grant’s knowledge of information technology from a national and international perspective gives her leverage in conducting evaluations, certifications, accreditations, and support our clients operating secure solutions.
Ms. Grant holds several technical certifications from CompTIA and Microsoft. She is also a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). In 1999, Tamea retired form the US Navy and in 2015 she earned her AAS in criminal justice from ABTU.
