On May 3rd 2016, Roy “Mac” Kincaid, member of the Joint Service Provider (JSP) Pentagon – Cyber-Security Assistance Visit (CAV) team for SecureStrux, gave a presentation of the “Pass the Hash” (PtH) vulnerability, also known as “Credential Theft and Reuse” vulnerability. This was the first installment of many more presentations to be delivered at the JSP, which are meant to educate personnel regarding cybersecurity and traditional physical security vulnerabilities.
As part of our Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) support, education and the understanding of the “intent” of the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) will make CCRI preparation much easier and less painful for all parties involved.
It is anticipated that future presentations will consist of a combination of cybersecurity demonstrations and lectures. The attendees will have access to on-line Defense Connect Services (DCS) presentation forum. The dates of the presentations/lectures will vary and all attendees will be provided an opportunity to provide feedback on the sessions.
