Sr Software Application Engineer

SecureStrux is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Applications Developer with a current, active TS/SCI with CI Poly Eligibility, who has in-depth experience in C#, ASP.Net, and Angular frameworks. If you’re well-acquainted with transitioning applications to Azure and are adept at using tools like Jira/Confluence/GitLab, this position provides an ideal setting to push the boundaries of web-based application and cyber tool development. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team, ensuring software security and continuously refining our applications.

Location:

• Hybrid – between client site in Linthicum, MD and your home office.
• Must be local to the Baltimore/Washington DC metro area.

What You’ll Bring (must-haves):

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly Eligibility
• Education and Years of Experience: At least 5-7 years with a BS/BA or 3-5 with MS/MA.
• Direct experience designing, developing, and implementing software applications tailored for specific customer needs.
• Proficiency with development management tools, particularly Jira, Confluence, and GitLab, complemented by hands-on experience with relevant testing tools.
• Coding expertise in C# or Java, and familiarity with Python or PHP.
• Proven track record in architecting and deploying cloud-native solutions.
• Practical experience with containerized development using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Competency in using GitLab CI/CD for testing and cloud deployments via Helm.
• Experience developing both front-end web applications and backend/API components.
• Knowledge in SQL/NoSQL database modeling and administration.

The Work You’ll Do:

• Design and develop cutting-edge software using C#, ASP.Net, AngularJS, and Angular, ensuring it’s both robust and user-centric.
• Seamlessly migrate applications to Azure cloud and interact with systems like Apache HTTPD server and various databases.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and fellow engineers to craft solutions that drive system performance goals.
• Spearhead web-based application and cyber tool software development, staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to align solutions with user needs, leading both architecture and design processes.
• Code new features, integrate APIs, and ensure software is ready for production. This includes continuous quality checks, patches, and improvements.
• Champion DevSecOps best practices, paving the way for continuous ATO in a CI/CD pipeline.
• Focus on security, from implementing advanced techniques to conducting ongoing tests and code reviews. Ensure our software isn’t just functional, but secure.
• Troubleshoot issues with a proactive approach, ensuring minimal disruptions.
• Document your journey, maintaining technical literature that aids both current and future team members.
• Always be learning, developing a keen understanding of new cyber software, tools, and industry best practices.
