As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst for SecureStrux, Matthew Ellerd provided expert advice and cyber assessments for Physical and DoD Traditional security compliance for both Clients within the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial sectors.
Matthew brings almost a decade of Traditional Security experience, physical security planning and implementation, emergency management, security management and vulnerability assessment / Risk Management experience to SecureStrux. Prior to joining the firm, Matthew performed physical security guidance for numerous commercial and DoD contractor security services across the US to include DISA, Homeland Security, Department of Interior, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Raytheon.
Matthew holds several certifications from the Defense Security Service, FEMA and the American Society for Industrial Security. He has received Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC), Physical Security Certification (PSC), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and Professional Development Certification from FEMA. Matthew is in the currently in the process of being certified within DISA’s Reviewer Certification Program (RCP) as a CCRI Traditional Reviewer for Joint Information Technology Service Provider—Pentagon (JITSPP) CCRI Team with an expected certification date of October 2015.
In 2014, Matthew earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of Arizona and holds a Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Pima Community College.
