RAND Earns “Outstanding” CCRI Grade — SecureStrux recently announced that they provided continued CCRI assistance for global research leader RAND Corporation Offices. SecureStrux performed the CCRI Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) of RANDs Arlington, VA Offices and the success of this partnership resulted in yet another “Outstanding” grade.
This was RANDs second CCRI in less than six months. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Santa Monica, CA conducted their first inspection in February of 2015. This time around, Defense Security Services (DSS) conducted the CCRI at RANDs Arlington, VA office. Again with the hard work of RAND to prepare and with the consultation of SecureStrux, their score came in as one of the highest scores earned by any DoD organization since IV was implemented.
A CCRI “is a DoD-wide program that is required by both the SIPRNet Connection Approval Process (CAP) and NIPRNet CAP to validate the site’s current network configuration, status of the site’s Authority to Connect (ATC), and the security readiness of the site under direction of the USCYBERCOM.” SecureStrux worked very closely with RAND stakeholders over several months to ensure that all CND Directives, Contributing Factors and all technical security requirements were in adherence to DoD cyber standards.
“It was again, very rewarding to work beside the good people of RAND and be apart of the SecureStrux team in assisting them prepare for yet another CCRI. Their second ‘Outstanding’ grade in less than six months speaks volumes to the organizations talented staff and leadership,” noted Mac Kincaid, SecureStrux’s Sr Cybersecurity Analyst who helped in preparing RAND for both of their CCRIs.
